LegalEase is a document generation platform that produces legal document precedents and templates based on information provided by the user. The Service is a technology tool, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice of any kind. The documents produced by the Service are precedents and templates only — they are not tailored to your specific legal situation and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified legal practitioner.
Users are strongly advised to seek independent legal advice from a qualified advocate, solicitor, or legal practitioner before executing, relying upon, or entering into any agreement based on a document generated through this Service.
Nothing on the Service constitutes legal advice, legal representation, or the creation of any solicitor-client, advocate-client, or fiduciary relationship between LegalEase and any user. LegalEase does not review, validate, or verify the accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency of the information you enter or the documents generated.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any document you generate is appropriate, valid, and enforceable in your specific jurisdiction and for your specific situation. LegalEase expressly disclaims any responsibility for the legal effect or enforceability of any document generated through the Service.
For simple personal agreements, generated documents may be used once both parties have reviewed and signed them. For business contracts, property transactions, employment agreements, financial instruments, and all high-value or legally complex arrangements, you must obtain independent legal advice before execution.
Documents and templates provided through the Service are drafted with reference to the laws applicable as at the date of publication. Laws, regulations, and legal requirements change over time. LegalEase does not warrant, represent, or guarantee:
Users are responsible for verifying that any document they use reflects current law in the relevant jurisdiction at the time of use.
Documents on the Service are designed for use in the following jurisdictions: Kenya (documents marked "Kenya") and common law jurisdictions generally (documents marked "General / International"), including but not limited to Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, and South Africa.
LegalEase expressly disclaims accuracy, suitability, or legal compliance for any jurisdiction not listed above. If you are in a jurisdiction not listed, you must have the document reviewed and adapted by a qualified legal practitioner in your jurisdiction before use. Use of a document in an unlisted jurisdiction is entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, legal sufficiency, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
By using the Service, you agree that:
Payments are processed securely through Paystack. All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for documents already generated. Credits purchased as part of a Credit Pack do not expire. Professional plan credits reset monthly and unused credits do not carry over. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time, with changes taking effect from the next billing cycle.
Each document generated under a paid plan may be viewed, edited, and downloaded up to three (3) times. After this limit is reached, additional access requires the purchase of further credits. This limit applies per document per credit used.
The document templates, software, design, and all content on the Service are the intellectual property of LegalEase and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute the templates or any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Documents generated using your own data are yours to use as you see fit, subject to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Magic links are time-limited and single-use. You must not share your sign-in links with others. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you are in breach of these Terms or are misusing the Service.
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Paystack (payments), Resend (email), Google Cloud (infrastructure), and Anthropic (AI generation). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of these third-party services.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under the laws of your own jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
